Lance M. Kruse, was the Benjamin Drake Wright Scholar at the University of Toledo where he received a doctorate in Foundations of Educational Research and Measurement, minoring in Theory and Social Foundations. His professional interests include research and measurement situated within mathematics education with an emphasis on instrument validity and reliability.

Lance Kruse received his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Integrated Mathematics, with the Presidential Award, in May of 2015. In August of 2016, he received his Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching, and completed his master's project entitled "Exploring Protocol-Centered Professional Development about the Standards for Mathematical Practice".
